The people we encounter show us parts or pieces of themselves. Showing parts of oneself while also striving to be authentic can co-exist. People tend to show more parts or their whole self when they feel safe to be vulnerable and not judged. The entirety of a person will be experienced when they feel loved, valued, and respected. If we focus on being the best version of ourselves, we will less likely be consumed by what others are doing or not.
Bring all of your parts and let's put them back together. I will gladly cheer for you until you can cheer for yourself.
Depression for some is chemical and depression is your body telling you that something is off kilter - there is misalignment. The soul knows when we are not living our trust self and it will carry the weight until negative aspects of our life changes. Constantly living for others' expectations is a heavy burden and literally soul crushing. Your soul was created to flourish and BE. Health is wealth and it demands balance. Co-dependency and people pleasing will increase depression and anxiety, and quickly snuff out purpose and passion. Sometimes pain can be such a deep pit that one needs a shovel by way of empathy and compassion to dig out of it. Sitting with the emotions is part of the human experience - it is how our insight and self-awareness grows. Further, wounds heal when we make connections, understand, and find acceptance .
What is filling your cup? I love walking beside people and helping them figure that out.
You wake up in the morning and feel like a weight is laying on your body. Suddenly "Monday Blues" turns to 24/7 blues. You feel a seemingly grapefruit size pressure in your abdomen and heaviness in your heart. No matter what you do, nothing improves your outlook, the lens you are viewing life through is cloud because the stressor(s) is still present. Your body is telling you that something needs to shift.
Tears flow when our emotions and feelings are depleted. Grief is all the love we have for the being who is missing from our world and has lost its home. Grief is a person, animal, job, home, identity - who filled the other half of our soul like a mate, and now leaves an empty space. I see you! I have experienced profound grief and loss. Needing help to get unstuck does not mean that you are defective.
Grief, depression, and anxiety present differently for everyone. If you are experiencing grief after several months or more with no improvement, schedule a free consultation.
