First of all, I am so happy that you have taken the first step towards nourishing your mental health, working on interpersonal relationships, prioritizing emotional healing from trauma or painful situations, learning how to stop being a people pleaser, seeking "coaching" for figuring out life goals, career changes, or whatever applies. I look forward to meeting you. 

My name is Linnea Solomon, Licensed Clinical Social Worker. I grew up in a pastoral family and my church was multi-cultural and multi-generational. Singing is one of my passions and I have been involved in worship with my mom most of my adult life. I am generally inquisitive, culturally competent, and embrace diversity. I ask a lot of questions.  I incorporate Biblical perspectives in my practice (with clients who request it directly or express an interest in exploring God or religion during our work together). While I identify as a faith-based therapist, I have a passion for people, and everyone is welcome - my space is nonjudgmental. Up to this point, I thrive on working with clients from all walks of life. I specialize in substance use recovery/dual diagnosis and familiar with the 12-step model including the term "higher power". 

I graduated from Palomar College with technical degrees, Fullerton College with an AA in social sciences, California State University of Fullerton with a bachelor's in psychology, and University of Southern California with a Master of Social Work. I completed my one-year practicum at a telehealth private practice. My clients ranged from teens to older adults. I worked with teens in recovery for a few months after I graduated from USC then transitioned to my current treatment center working in dual diagnosis recovery. I have worked in recovery the past two and a half years - it has been a rewarding, thrilling learning experience consisting of individual therapy, facilitating group psychotherapy, and conducting couples/family sessions. 

I love animals and spending time with my tribe. My mom is my best friend. My favorite places are Oceanside harbor, San Diego Safari Park, and San Diego Zoo. My favorite movies are Mulan (both animation and live action), Brave, Raya and the Last Dragon, Kung Fu Panda, and Frozen. Yeah, I have warrior vibes, so you are in good hands. My tribe is small, and I cherish relationships. We were created to love and be loved. I look forward to learning you about. 

I hope you learn the pearl of self-love in our work together and rewire those negative core beliefs.  We will fill your mental health treasure box together until you can do so on your own.
